   16.04.05 Broadland Rugby Club Gentleman's Dinner Challenge Match

Broadland Reds 41 Breydon Tigers 14

In an exhibition match to provide some pre evening entertainment for both players and spectators, a number of Broadland players locked horns in a match containing more than a few old faces.

The Reds kicked off and early pressure saw Centre Bradley score under the post, following some excellent play in the centres (Converted Rogers). The reds kept up the pressure and again Bradley went over for his second (converted). The Tigers were struggling to link play together, and a counter saw Wing Sammy Jordan Canter through to extend the lead (Unconverted). The onslaught from the Reds continued this time a quick penalty and an inch perfect pass from Beckett to Morrison, gave Morrison the space to weave in from ten yards out (unconverted).

The Tigers were struggling to find rhythm and Centre Cantillion counted to give the Reds a comfortable 29-0 halftime lead.

The Tigers kicked off and Flanker Richardson recovered the ball, to race untouched to score under the posts (converted Murray) However the revival was short lived as Dixon utilising both speed and agility, broke from the half way line to score (Unconverted) The Tigers were beginning to threaten, but it was the Reds back on the score sheet as Lock Morrison took a short pass from Scrum Half Miller to Score his second with a run in from twenty yards out (Converted Miller)

The Tigers were down but far from out, and Number 8 Bilyard came with in inches of a score, giving Scrum Half Burling the opportunity to pick and dive over for the matches concluding score (converted Murray)
