Broadland club name change
Following an outcome of our AGM in May, regarding changing the club name,
Malcolm Wheadon and myself attended a meeting at Eastern Counties RFU on
Tuesday 25th Sept, to seek permission to Change the Club Name to Great
Yarmouth - Broadland, as some of you know this this was opposed by
Lowestoft & Yarmouth.
Both clubs were given the opportunity to put their reasons forward, and
then answer questions from the committee.
I am please to advise that the Name Change to Great Yarmouth -
Broadland RFC was fully supported by Eastern Counties RFC
With this support we must now ask the Rugby Football Union, however this
is an important step as we now have full regional support behind our request
to change our name. Asa Morrison - Chairman
Gorleston Cliff Top Gala
Broadland RFC youth section attended the Gorleston Cliff Top Gala
